Mommies Little Monsters

Mommies Little Monsters were created out of pure stress and anxiety about a decade ago during the Holiday season.

The idea eventually blossomed, and they became emotional support monsters for people of all ages.

We simply put way too much pressure on ourselves.

I've learned over the years that there has to be some kind of balance, and fluidity or you will find yourself choking on the very air you breathe.

The first doll created was the two-headed Clown, my version of "Tragedy, and Conflict".
This dynamic duo was created in December 2001, when the nerves got thin but we tried to put on a happy face and play nice.
If nothing else, it was definitely a good conversation starter and tension reliever.

I think the most significant meaning behind these dolls has to do with conflict, conflict of thought, expectations, emotions, etc. it doesn't matter what your process is, it is yours.

The bottom line was always about how uncomfortably awkward I was around family and friends, not just during the holidays but every day of the year, and how I've always believed that the most important thing we can all do is be true to ourselves no matter what.

These Little Monsters are a blend of 50/50, both light and dark, good and bad, happy and sad, dead and alive.
You can't have one without the other.

We all belong somewhere.
